VASSAGO

AKL - VOX, GUITAR
DALE - GUITAR

MIKE - BASS

PABLO - DRUMS

Forged in Metro Manila, Philippines in 2015, Vassago was founded by Akl (CO-ARSE, Corrupt Insanity), together with Mike (Tenebrion) and Moon (TENEBRION, ETC). Dale later joined on guitars, completing the band's early lineup.

From the beginning, Vassago has remained unwavering in its purpose: to create music born from hatred, nihilism, and the certainty that all things will inevitably wither and die.

Rejecting trends, spectacle, and compromise, the band draws its strength from darkness, atmosphere, and violence, inspired by the uncompromising spirit of the underground rather than the pursuit of popularity.

Every composition stands as an expression of contempt, desolation, and the collapse of false ideals.

Between 2016 and 2017, Vassago completed its debut full-length album, Purification by Genocide, released on CD (LIFESPAN RECORDS) and cassette (ANUGAL RECORDS) through independent Philippine underground labels in limited quantities, and digitally via Bandcamp.

Since then, the band has brought its bleak vision to audiences across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, remaining fiercely independent and loyal to the underground.

In 2024, Pablo (formerly of Sultan) joined the band on drums, ushering in a new chapter while preserving the same uncompromising philosophy that has defined Vassago since its inception.
